PLENTY OF SUCCESS FOR GBRacing

  Date: Wednesday 15 June, 2016
WSBK…BSB…MOTO GP…NW200…ISLE OF MAN TT

Designing, developing and manufacturing our motorcycle protection is the daily grind for our team during the working week, but we all love it and pulling away from that at race weekends to see our hard work pay off is what its all about.

British Superbikes seems to be the pinnacle in terms of competitiveness in motorcycle racing at the moment. Certainly for GBRacing®, we are continuing to deliver the products that people want and getting the results. We are leading the British Championship with JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam plus competing with all but two riders within the series, many of them fighting for podiums and wins.

World Superbike however seems to be a tale of the two Factory Kawasaki’s, we aren’t complaining though as we have supported the team with our product for a number of years. Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes have taken to the ring in the ultimate fight for 2016, both are on top form and Sykes is a mere 2 race wins away from Rea in the title standings. The Brits in the 600 have certainly turned heads, with GBRacing®  sponsored riders Kyle Ryde and Luke Stapleford both changing teams. With Luke returning to his old Profile Triumph outfit bagging front row starts at Assen and Donnington, Kyle parted with his Yamaha R6 squad to climb aboard an MV Agusta with Moto GP ace Nicol Terol as teammate.

Road Racing has played an even bigger part in the life of GBRacing® - it all kicked off with the North West 200. Every race served a podium or race win for GBRacing® with support against all the big players, Hutchy, Dunlop, McGuiness.  The TT has just flown by, with GBRacing® scoring podium points in every class, matching our NW 200 run plus adding more records to our tally.

Duties and thoughts are now backs to BSB at the Snetterton two day test this week then up to the highlands for round 4 at Knockhill in a week's time.
