Q: I have forgotten my Password.
Go to LOG IN. Click on 'Password forgotten? Click here'.
On the next page, enter the email address that your account is
registered to. Click on 'Send my new password'. You will receive an
email with your new password*. You can then log in with this password.
You can change your password once you have logged in.
*If you do not
receive the email, please check your junk folder as sometimes email
clients will send company emails straight to junk.
Q: Will my personal information be secure?
A: Sure, all our information is stored securely
Q: How can I view the prices in a different currency?
You can switch between Sterling, Euros and Dollars by clicking on the currency icons next to the cart area in the header.
Q: Do you supply Worldwide?
A: Sure, we ship to all destinations Worldwide.
Q: Can I have products delivered to different addresses?
A: Yes, GBRacing allows every customer up to five different shipping addresses
Q: Can I have my products shipped outside of the EU?
A: Yes, we can ship to both EU and non EU countries
Q: Why won't my order process through PayPal?
A: We do not allow transactions through PayPal accounts that
have not been verified due to security issues. You will need to upgrade
and verify your account by linking it to your bank account within
PayPal. If your transaction does not complete, please log in to your
PayPal account and click on 'contact us'. You will be given a 6 digit
password which you will need to quote when you speak to PayPal. They
will be able to verify and upgrade your account. Please try and checkout
with GBRacing once this has been done and your order should process
Q: Do products shipped to countries Outside the UK & Europe still have to pay UK VAT?
A: The VAT depends on the registered address on your credit
card. This means if the address on your credit card is in the UK or EU,
then UK VAT will be added. (Unless within the EU you have a valid VAT
Number, normally a Company). If your address is in any country other
than the UK or EU, we will not add UK VAT.
Q: When I try and pay for my products, the HSBC site won't let me pay, help!
A: Either there is a problem with your credit card, or your
bank is preventing the transaction (See Screenshot Below). If it is your
bank, contact them and inform them that you need to make a transaction
to the UK and they will allow it to transfer the money.
Q: Why has Paypal taken my payment twice.
A: You have refreshed the page during payment process. Please do not refresh the page whilst Paypal is processing your payment.
Q: What is the difference between STOCK and KIT that I see on your engine cover descriptions.
A: The STOCK refers to the stock casings, as you would see on your bike in the Showroom. The KIT refers to factory casings, normally the alternator cover, where race teams would purchase factory alternators that produce minimal recharging of the battery, and increase in BHP.
So the KIT alternator cover is designed for a KIT alternator casing which has replaced the standard manufactured casing.
Q: What is the difference between STREET and RACE Bullet Sliders?
Q: Will you be releasing products for my bike?
A: Every new product or bike range is posted on the home page news for everyone to see.
Q: Do I use the manufactured year or registered year of my motorcycle to browse products?
A: You need to know the make, model and MANUFACTURED year of your motorcycle.
Q: Will the products need me to drill the fairing?
A: Only a few products require fairing modification, as this is an issue we always try to avoid. If a fairing does require modification, this will be noted within the product description.
Q: Do you have fitting instructions online?
A: Yes. Each product has a 'Fitting Instructions' button under the 'Add to Cart' button within the product information. This button will take you to a PDF to show the fitting instructions for your part. Please refer to the part number on the instructions as some bike models use the same parts. You can print or download the PDF.
Q: What makes your products different from any others?
A: GBRacing specifically designs each product with the user in mind, making them easy to fit whilst being as effective as possible.
Q: Do your engine protectors require any modifications or possible damage to the fairings or engine covers, such as glue residue?
A: No. GBRacing designs its products to bolt-on to the existing engine covers, leaving no unsightly residues behind, and most do not damage the fairings.
Q: How do I prevent the GB racing covers from damaging my original engine case from scratches and wearing out the paint?
A: In some rare circumstances, the fitting of our cover will cause some very slight damage to the original cover. This is caused by dirt that can accumulate behind our cover combined with constant high vibration. To ensure the product works efficiently in the event of an accident, a 1mm approximate gap is designed into the product, between our cover and the original casing.
It is clearly not practical to remove the GBRacing cover every time you use the bike, to clean behind our cover, but our covers are designed to protect your engine. There is no product on the market that can 100% guarantee no damage to the original engine casing through dirt build-up and vibration.
The alternative is the potential damage caused to the original cover by not fitting our covers and in some circumstances internal damage caused to the engine itself.
Our covers are the only product on the market that are FIM approved, something we are very proud of and testament to the way they work in an accident plus they provide the added safety aspect to other riders of preventing engine fluids escaping onto the tarmac.
Q: I've heard people say that crash mushrooms can flip bikes over or do damage to the frame, is this true?
A: Every crash is different, so its impossible to be 100% free of risk. However, GBRacing crash mushrooms are designed to bend themselves under severe impact, reducing the strain on the frame and risk of digging in as much as possible.
Q: How much do you have to tighten your products?
A: All our products have Torque figures, as recommended by the bike manufacturers. These are shown on our fitting instructions which come with your product.
Q: Can you suggest an accurate way to find the centre on the engine mount bolt in order to fit the frame slider shaft?
A: If you put an object in the cap head bolt ie. a pen / small dowl with tippex or grease on the end, then refit your fairing, pushing the panel against the make shift marker. Remove the panel and there should be a mark on the inside showing where your hole should be cut.
